Also, I find it weird that people still fixate on stranger danger and gloss over the completely preventable accidents that were far more common. Strictly anecdotal, I know, but I knew of a lot of kids who died in car wrecks and bike accidents - a hell of a lot of kids who were abused by family members or people in the circle of trust - and no incidents of stranger danger. Funny that.
