CELTA: Revision

I'm glad I submitted my lesson plans earlier in the week to Sezgi, my tutor. She made lots of constructive comments that I ended up incorporating into my lesson. This wouldn't have been possible if I'd waited for the deadline (45 minutes from now). Note to self: do lesson plans early. Sezgi knows her shit, and I'm learning...well, I'm learning to take constructive criticism. As a former gifted child (I know, I know, STFU about it already) I don't take criticism well as a rule. But I'm learning.
Speaking of, I got my second paper back from my first tutor. It needed resubmission. Dammit. I allowed myself precisely one hour to goof off and have a pity party, then set to work. His comments were - as always - constructive, exquisitely courteous, and full of praise for the things I did correctly. It was not too difficult to fix - I merely needed to choose a different activity for pronunciation work, add in-line citations, and correct a couple of typos, plus do a better job of justifying my choice of exercises. I think I managed that, and promptly sent him both the uncorrected first submission (which he requested) and the resubmission draft.
That done, I took a brief break to put towels in the washing machine and grab my clothes from the dryer. It's convenient that the laundry room is next door to my office. I set the clothes nearby and started doing my skeleton plan for the listening lesson I'm teaching a week from tomorrow. I finished that, wrote out the main and subsidiary aims for the lesson, and put on some music. Then I folded my clothes and put them away.
Currently I'm waiting on the washing machine to finish so I can put the towels in the dryer. Tonight Eyal and I will rehearse tomorrow's reading lesson. And I will probably go to bed early so I can be up early to eat a decent breakfast, drink coffee, and give tomorrow's first lesson (Dimitra and I alternate going first...and we both despise it) bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. Or something.
In other news, the new laptop is a fucking dream. Don't pinch me.
