1. More energy means more things getting done. Today, Eyal and I headed out to run very necessary errands. First, he needed to exchange sweatpants and a hoodie at Fox (Israeli clothing store). Second, I needed to go to the seamstress to get two pairs of pants hemmed and a skirt taken in and hemmed. Third, we needed to pick up a package. Luckily the first two we accomplished in the same place (Azrieli Negev Mall). By the way, I definitely recommend having a seamstress and a cobbler on speed dial. Alterations, mending, resoling, and repairs beat the heck out of buying new stuff. At any rate, we accomplished our errands with no bitching from me about my aching back or knees. Not that they didn't ache, but I managed to refrain from bitching. A victory.

2. Eyal had a work emergency yesterday. He was called into the office around 8.00 am and didn't get home until 11.00 pm. After he got home I ascertained whether or not they had fed him (they had), whether or not he was hungry (he was not), and proceeded to turn on the water heater for both of us. (He showers in the ensuite, I use the master bath.) I may not have had quite the punishing day he did, but I did work from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm, take a two hour break, and then resume until 10.00 pm. Anyway, after we showered, we headed for bed, cuddled, and I scratched his back.

3. Today is my brother's birthday; he turns 43. I texted him earlier, since he rarely answers his phone (at least when I call). He'll read the text. Eventually. Also, I very very rarely call people spontaneously these days. I almost always text first to ask permission. About the only people I don't text first are Eyal, my mom, and my father-in-law. (My father-in-law barely gets smartphones, so sending him a WhatsApp or SMS is iffy.)

4. Eyal and I will celebrate my completion of CELTA in March with a mini-vacay to the Dead Sea. He wants to splurge on the most expensive couples treatment available at the spa at Ein Gedi - and I'm all for it. Besides, we'll economize elsewhere by getting an AirBnB in Arad (the hotels at the Dead Sea are ripoffs), eating in Arad (although the spa offers free refreshments to anyone getting treatments, so we won't starve there), and making sure that the tires are in good shape this time.

5. My other celebration of completing CELTA? A good, business grade laptop. I broached this to Eyal. He replied, "We'll keep the receipt. It's deductible." Smart man.
